Iran, 2001. A journalist ventures into the most notorious suburbs of the holy city of Mashhad to investigate a series of murders of women. She soon realizes that the local authorities are not rushing to solve the case, after all, the victims are female sex workers. The murders are said to be the work of a single man, who wants to cleanse the city of its sins by attacking the fallen women at night.

Ciné solidarity (Hasselt): on 10/12 you can participate in a Write for Rights campaign by Amnesty International from 6.30 pm to 8 pm in the context of Human Rights Day. The letter writing campaign is specifically aimed at injustice in Iran and is supported by Student Hotspot Hasselt. An Iranian student photographer provides an introduction to the film and afterwards answers questions from the audience during a discussion in the foyer.
